Career

I follow a burnout based working regime, where I go into maintenance mode for long periods, during which I work on personal projects and just keep the lights on at work, then eventually go back to my actual work and build new things there for a while, repeat ad infinitum.

For work, I build and maintain software and web services in the real-estate sector. Responsibilities include...

1. Investing in, maintaining, and utilising the hardware which we run everything on
2. Business development and continuity (though I prefer to be a recluse, so the CEO handles talking to people)
3. Writing the actual software (frontend + backend), keeping it secure, deploying it publicly and also as API services to other businesses

My main focus is on individual property analysis, which involves...

1. procurement of both public and proprietary datasets
2. linking that data together into a unified data model.
3. analysing this data to automatically create new insights

One example is such an analysis is the estimated current value of a home, based on its current state, recent changes, and how it relates to the local and national markets.

Another example would be determining if a property listing is likely to result in a sale, if it's well priced, and identifying potential risks.

My interests are reflected in my services, but apart from that, I generally am open to trying anything that provides a sense of novelty.
